Journey to Gracklestugh

What Jazielle sees horrifies her. As someone who has spent considerable time in the underdark, she is able to recognize a black pudding quickly, accurately and with some fear for the safety of her friend in the pit. Acting quickly, she manages to set her mark on the amorphous beast and fires three quick shots, all striking the rippling form. You hear a gurgling sound, which you hope to be a cry of pain. The bolts quickly start to smoke and dissolve in the acidic body while a pseudopod forms and streaks at Loh-bo, hitting him and bringing forth a bruise along with acid burns.

Loh-Bo 'Wanderstrider' Maynmanu
Neutral Male Goliath Barbarian

"AARGGGHH!!!" Loh-Bo let out a scream of pain as the acid scorched his skin. He didn't know how high up the walls of this pit was, but he jumped up as high as he could try and scrabble away from the source of the pain as far as he could.

Tabletop/OOCSo, reaction to that acid damage ...
Once per short or long rest, you can use your reaction to reduce damage taken by 1d12 + your Constitution bonus.

On his upcoming turn, Loh-Bo will standing jump as high as he possibly can,
When you make a high jump, you leap into the air a number of feet equal to 3 + your Strength modifier if you move at least 10 feet on foot immediately before the jump. When you make a standing high jump, you can jump only half that distance. Either way, each foot you clear on the jump costs a foot of movement. In some circumstances, your GM might allow you to make a Strength (Athletics) check to jump higher than you normally can.

You can extend your arms half your height above yourself during the jump. Thus, you can reach above you a distance equal to the height of the jump plus 1 ½ times your height.
(high jump) and thanks to him being a tall-boi that's at least 13'9"

Then he'll run back towards his allies.

Jolan
LG Male Half-Orc Paladin of Lathander

The scream of a Goliath would get anyone's attention, and Jolan reacts by heading toward the source of danger to see if he can help.

While it wasn't the first time she'd heard one of the others screaming in pain, Helja halted for a few moments, listening and trying to determine what was going on in the other tunnels.

"Loh-Bo get out of sere, now!"
Jazrielle reloads and fires another bolt into the pudding. Then the ranger draws another hand crossbow and fires a bolt from it into the pudding, too.
"We need help, and bring light!"

Hearing Loh--Bo's plight and seeing the others moving towards him, Thaylinna goes forward as well.
She has no need for light spells, but she does have an idea on how she can help.
She quickly casts a cantrip and a floating translucent hand forms next to her. It flies to take the lightening mace from Jolan and sends it to float next to Loh-Bo.

If it won't distract the slime, it would at least provide some light, she hopes.

Xin stands ready.

You scramble to the pit in which Loh-Bo finds himself when you hear a dwarves squeak behind you. A flash of light removes Helja and Thailyinna from your sight. In their places are a very confused wood elf and an even more confused half orc. Just as you try to wrap your minds around this and the shouts of your friend, a mist appears in the rock above, dropping a half-elf on his kiester. From the tunnel to the east, you hear a splash and some coughing. A very wet tibaxi slinks out.

The half elf man wears scale mail, and the clattering sound that he makes is profound in the cavern.

Getting up, the man looks around in a panic, eyes squinting in the gloom. Where am I? he thinks to himself. "Khyber? Farrokh? Garona?" he calls out, before his vision clears and he sees the other curious folk around him.

This is some sort of an ambush! Owyn thinks in alarm. He holds out his left hand and grabs hold of something not visible in the air before him. He concentrates for a moment, but then his eyes fly open in alarm.

Why are you forbidding me your power? Owyn asks the corner of his mind that The Sword has claimed.

I may forbid you my power whensoever I please, and do not forget it! begins the lilting voice in his mind. However, in this case, I am doing so to prevent you from making a mistake. You are not surrounded by enemies. The Mists have finally released you, and I perceive that you are in an immensely-dangerous place, my knight. These are the allies whom you will accompany back to the world that you know.

Owyn reels in confusion a bit as he looks around at the varied folk in the cave. But, then he hears the sound of pain from the pit. Owyn drops all pretense of suspicion and stands up, asking, "What's that? Is someone in trouble?" He stands and begins to step toward the pit to see what he can see.

A short, slender man in granite tinged robes settles himself. As he looks about seeing the others making noise around him. Dwarves, I thought only the Xana...

He stops thinking as he sees the half-orc nearby, and lets out in a hoarse reedy voice "What?!" He jumps back disappearing up against the cave wall. The Xanathar must have found us out, it's the only reason why dwarves and half-orcs would be near the hide out. He pads his way down the tunnel the opposite direction of the dwarves. Then something finally catches his attention.

"Why. Is it thaat this plaace does not smell of sewer filth?" he lets out.
He sniffs at the air again.
"Why are more people not screaaming? Where in Taartaarus is this?" he exclaims toward the dwarves.
