In a game I'm running, I made a few threads private and now I regret that. Is there any way to undo the privating?

Yes.

Go to the thread you want to unprivate and choose "Edit Thread" from the Cogwheel dropdown.
In the following form page, you can, among other things, change the thread's privacy settings
