Recruitment Drive for One Piece!

One Piece - Forum
Mutants and Masterminds 3e
Estimated Members Requested: 12

Intro
Wealth, Fame, Power.

The man who acquired everything in this world, the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger. The final words that were said at his execution, sent people to the seas.

"My wealth and treasures? If you want it, I'll let you have it. Look for it, I left it all in that place."

Men now, chasing their dreams, head towards the Grand Line.

The world now enters a Great Age of Pirates!

Tone of the GameOne Piece is a whacky, dramatic, fantasy world of epic portions. Where great pirates are the equivalent of Supers, hence why I will be using the 2nd Edition of Mutant & Masterminds and some of its supplement. A flexible point base RPG system. If you can imagine it, it is possible.

The PlayersI'm looking for heroic characters that are looking for adventure, treasure, and chasing their dreams. Also, team players, I'm not looking for the lone wolf who can do everything, because, well, you can't. That's why you join a crew.

To apply to this game, before anything, have access to the book. It's very important that you acquire the core book by some means. Next, have a concept. What do you look like? Did you eat a devil fruit? What is your skill set? Do you use a weapon? Do you have a bad sense of direction? Important questions that deserve a well thought out answer. You don't need to make a sheet until you are accepted into the game. Finally, tie it all together with the backstory. Where you came from, who raised you, who taught you what, things like that need to be answered. A well thought out and written backstory can make a big difference. No haki user are permitted at this time.

When one is accepted the rules for character creation will be posted in the game thread.

And becoming a giraffe-man gave him access to all sorts of new ways to use said style.

There's also the way you can never tell how Devil Fruit powers will match up. Luffy's Paramacia Gum Gum Fruit rendering a lightning Logia pretty much useless springs to mind.

I'm going on, but I find one of the major strengths of the series is how powers that seem to be silly or weak can be amazing in the right situations or with the right user.

I did apologize about riffing on the Charm Charm Fruit, and elaborated that what I meant was that you shouldn't get a fruit just because you want a fruit, but because you thought of an awesome one.

And Darchias, your fruit idea is awfully similar to the Horo Horo no Mi, eaten by Perona, which allows, among other things, astral projection. And if your dead and came back somehow, It's awfully similar to Brooke's fruit. Probably different enough, but just pointing out the similarities.

Finally, in the defense of the Giraffe man(Pakku I think?), he can do something that giraffe's can't, which is one of the most useful things he's done with the thing.

So we can apply with multiple different characters? In that case, I have an idea for someone that ate a variation of the Hito-Hito no Mi (Human-Human Fruit).

Kaku, and yeah. It's honestly one of my fave moments, just how proud he is of getting the power of the noble giraffe.

And don't worry, I didn't mean anything personal. It was more of an excuse to elaborate (rant) how I think the Devil Fruit system is one of the best superpower systems in all fiction and to compliment its creativity :P

Ah, I don't actually read/watch One Piece, so I didn't know. I'll think up another idea, and y'all tell me if it's been taken or is uncomfortably close to another.

Then, in all honestly, this not the game for you.

K going to look through all the char apps right now and read on each....I want to make sure I add a new thing to the campaign and not a character similar to another.

Eh, Zeone, Darchias may not have a lot of specific knowledge of One Piece, but he's seen a good chunk and has the right idea, I can bring him up to speed on any particulars.

Oopsie, serious miscalculation/interpretation. Don't worry, I'd only be able to create about... 25-50 copies, whichever would fit you best. Though it's still pretty cool... I understand if they don't need someone specifically for fighting.

And yes, I know approval isn't quaranteed, but I just meant I don't have any competition.

when all else fails, an all night study session with the wiki can do wonders

Or do a quick look through the videos or the like online
