Jack nods his head to Parice. "We have no way to be sure." He assess. "Perhaps it would be best for you to do so." Jack glances out the gate and sighs. "As for some type of tracking... I do suppose that would aid us."

Turning to Zeno as the idea forms in his mind Jack speaks next to him. "Zeno. Would you mind taking a moment or two to seek out such aid?" He asks. "Chatahee and i will remain within sight of the gates until the two of you return in any event." He explains and then returns his attention to Chatahee.

"Ready as I will ever be then." He notes without conviction and then moves out to see what he can find.

Parice smiled and pulled off her backpack, removing the light steel shield strapped on the back to open the backpack, carefully unpacking her belongings, laying them down in the street as gently as she could, not wanting to be in the way, hoping she wans't causing a scene.
"Better safe than sorry then, better to have armor and don't need it than to need armor and not have it" She smiled up at them all as she reached in and pulled out a rather well kept set of scale mail armor, painted in the gold and reds of her god, Sarenrae and a tabbard, similarly coloured, with the gods symbol enbroided beautiflly on the front.
She strapped on the armor as best she could, her hands clumsy as this was the first time she had actually put it on, standing there sheepishly as the scale armour was finally on right and the tabard adorning her with the symbol of her diety, Steel shield and Warhammer in hand, neither armour, tabard or weapon quite her size.

"Sister Margret was always proud about this, it's a shame she isn't here to see me now... she'd probably laugh."

Chatahee, striking a pragmatic, workmanlike tone as usual. "The goblins who came up with the cliff didn't swim in from the sea. They came in the shallows skirting the cliffs when the tide was out. So we should start there, follow the cliff edge along. We'll likely find a rope down or an obvious trail. We can work back from there. So let's start with what we think we know for sure. Coming up with a tracker or a bloodhound, you'll find us on the coast edge."

Jack smiles at Parice as she dons her armor. "Ha Parice." He chides. "Your armor...suits you." He says Jovially.

Getting back to the business at hand as Chatahee mentions a course of action Jack sighs. "Aye. We will need aid for this to be sure." He comments. "I see nothing of note but admittedly have little talent for such things." He laments. He still does his best to seek clues but ultimately becomes frustrated by the lack thereof.

"We could be at this for hours it seems and yet walk right over what we are seeking." He proclaims.

Chatahee looks around for anything that sticks out.

As the others set off to search the area, Zeno nodded to the group and said, "I think I'm going to try to find another pair of eyes that may see something ours would miss. I hope to return within the hour with our fellow goblin slayer Aggezar. I'll see you all soon.". With that, Zeno set out to ask the townsfolk if they knew where Aggezar might be found.


North Gate

Late Morning, 23ed of Rova, 4707AR

Outside Sandpoint's North-Gate, a long line of merchant wagons are leaving town after the unfortunate end of the festival. If any goblin tracks may have been left on the dirt road leading north, they must have already been covered by wheel tracks. Jackson, keeping up with good faith walks to the grassy patches in search of off-road tracks, but soon enough you all see that all he does is trampling the wet grass. And so, while Jack continues his search on top of the cliff, Chatahee and Parice carefully climb down Junker's edge to search for clues down on the beach below.

Late Morning, 23ed of Rova, 4707AR (Day 2)

Down below Junker's edge, navigating the mounds of junk is not easy. Parice and Chatahee spend a few hours scanning the hips of junk and the rocky shore. Unfortunately since the beach is made of rocks and pebbles, there are no clear tracks for you to follow. Just as you are about to give up, Parice notices something metallic gleaming in the sun, right at the foot of the cliff. As you head there to look at the metallic object, you find a broken goblin dogslicer and a splatter of blood on the rocks. Less than 3ft. from there, Chatahee finds a piece of old rope tied to a broken make-shift grappling hook similar to the one the wheelbarrow boy gave Zeno and Jackson. Looking up, you see that right above your heads is the grassy patch and the grove of trees behind the White Deer Inn, where Jackson and Zeno earlier thought the grass was trampled by small feet.

Zeno returns to the group within the hour to report what he has found. "Well gang, it seems Aggezar is farther away than I suspected. I could head to his place now, but we wouldn't return until late tonight. Is it worth the trip, or do you think you might have found everything there is to find out here?"

Jack shakes his head resolutely. "I say we needn't bother." He replies. "Finding some track or trail that may or may not exist is a long shot... even if we knew where to look." He offers.

"Lets head back." Jack suggests. "Perhaps the sheriff or the mayor will have some news for us in the morning." He ads. "We may as well take respite for now anyway."

Despite his words Jack can not help but feel he is missing something. He was so full of hope this morning, confident in fact, that they would find something or someone. Obviously this "hero" stuff is harder than he thought.
