Check out the reviews. It didn't backfire.

If it helps, the Mouse of late has been working really hard to take Star Wars out of that competition stack up, and if the advertising for the next Marvel movie is any indication, are interested in taking Marvel out of the running as well.
So choosing The Mouse over DC might not be such a big deal for much longer.
Yes. I am sure, just like everything else I have hated in entertainment in the last few years, It has massive stacks of professional critics who openly wear there ulterior motives on there sleeves claiming it's the greatest human achievement since figuring out how to cook meat with fire. And has a few die hard's whom I'm sure have similar ulterior motives who will defend it in the face of anything and everything unto the death.
These two things do not make it good, worth watching, or worth extra money. I don't even have cash I'm willing to throw at HBO for Game of Thrones or Youtube for Youtube Red to make sure channels I watch get paid with out me having to put up with 4-15 long infomercials in front of and at one or more points during a video. I sure as hell don't have extra money for this BS on a monthly basis.
(As for the comics, yes, the Wolfman/Perez era could get fairly dark. I have NOT seen dick Greyson in a single one of those books kick the business end of a knife into someone's throat as the trailer very, very clearly makes a point of showing. Nor did I ever see Dove torture or Maim anyone. And Starfire didn't just stone cold Vaporize people like she was Punisher but with powers. And THAT'S being altogether overly generous to the show and not coming after them for altering either team configuration or character appearances in a radical manner. As if we hadn't learned that most "Adaptations" that do that are doing it cause the people making them either don't understand, don't care, or both. And in DC's case, frequently the last one were live action is concerned. Sorry, I've seen The Arrowverse and The Snyderverse and whatever-verse-Supergirl is in. You have to PROVE too me I should think your better than that ahead of time, and so far I see not one thing that makes me think that they are.)
They had there big chance to show me they had learned one single thing form The Synderverse failing. They blew it.
I will stick to my position. Probably pick it up for a free trial period, and maybe a month after that, Binge what I care too off of it, and then let it lapse.
Frankly were all better off if BOTH streaming services and all the other one's like them, such as CBS All Access, curl up and die and the sooner the better.
