The doors swung open slowly as Gara'cias pushed them open with his massive arms of golden hued skin. His thick white boots take long strides across the pristine white marble floors of the open domed hall. He approaches the small table, surrounded by tall concave bookshelves surrounding it and the old man sitting there. He turned around upon hearing the steps, smoking the honey flower in his long ivory pipe tipped in gold. His eye's widened as Gara'cias handed him a small piece of stiff skin that apparently had been used as parchment. It was written in the infernal tounge of the devils and upon glancing over it quickly with his eyes, he grimaced closing his eyes while he did so. He recovered from his emotion, placed the piece of skin in a book and replaced the book on the shelf.

"It is time. Our first move is to contact them. Let us begin our plans."

This game will be a quick planar hopping game where the players go on a search for an artifact. More details to be posted later. As you can see, this ad is up for a while so I'll be filling in threads as needed but for now go ahead and ask questions etc here.

System: 3.x 3.5
Sources: PHB, PHB II, all completes. All core (PHB, DMG, MM) No Tomb of Battle, nothing that changes how the spell system works too much as a whole.
Races: Open to anything in the races books, MM's, and savage species/completes/core nothing homebrew. This is a planes hopping game so feel free to run wild with this.
Monster Races: Keep LA in mind. If LA is above +3 use savage species or talk to me about a progression if it isn't in there.
Templates: Keep these basic, no over the top incorporeal type templates or anything above LA+3.
Flaws/Traits: Pick one flaw, one trait if you want. You don't have to pic but once decided it can't be changed. Don't forget the bonus feat that goes with this.
Level: Starting level 6. Three classes maximum (this includes if you prestige).
Classes: Anything from the sources above is fine.
Abilities: 4d6 drop the lowest. 4 6's means a 19. Roll three sets take the best.
Wealth: By level per DMG, half of this can be spent on items you want. Other half can be rolled randomly or given to you in the form of an item chosen by myself.

Need a warrior type (melee or ranged) to take the place of the guy who has been dropped.

Game Description:

Combat: Quick paced hack and slash style gameplay with some downtime for crafting/shopping/side questing. RP lite. Bonus XP given for RP however at end of chapters. Voting for who should get the RP bonus will be player decided. I'll pick two people, votes cast in private.

This sounds really interesting. A straight-up tiefling rogue sounds like it would fit in perfectly here. ^_^

What format do you want for the application?

Background: 5 to 6 paragraphs is fine. More is fine if you want but don't bore me
Progression of Character: Some thoughts of where you want to go with your character.

Wow! 5 to 6 paragraphs?! That'd be a long background. I think I could come up with something, though.

Name: Marielle Thorn
Race: Tiefling
Class: Rogue 5
Background: The daughter of a human and a succubus, Marielle has been forced to survive most of her life. Despite her father's reputation as a heroic outlaw, she was looked down upon as an infernal half-breed. As she grew up, she learned her father's craft as a thief that helps those in need. This inspired her to become an outlaw, herself, just like her father, so she could help the lower class that needed it. It also ended up helping her in the end, giving her the tools she needed to survive. Despite her hatred of her non-human half, she was thankful for its resistance to the cold with where she grew up. She was born and raised in a cold, mountainous region where the skills her father taught her were essential for survival.

Her teenage years and onward were often spent battling with her succubus half, trying to keep from being the slave to the flesh that her mother Zariel was. Her mother had a reputation among both demons and humans as "the Devourer of 1,000 Souls." This reputation was why Mari hated her non-human half. She despised the idea of devouring the souls of unwitting men, and she wasn't required to, thanks to her human half. This caused her to spend a great deal of time resisting the temptations her demonic heritage caused her.

After her father passed away, Mari was forced to move on to another city, ultimately just keeping to the shadows of a port city, stealing what she needed to survive, but also helping the orphaned children she found there with what she found. While there, she managed to survive by fighting in the alleyways of the city. It was either that, or using her natural magic to keep hidden. There were a few times she had to seduce men to get the money she needed, but she knew it would help both her and the children.

After a few years, when Mari had turned 21, she knew it was time to start helping the less fortunate in a bigger way, so she ended up stealing a pair of rapiers from a local weaponsmith and started using her natural magic to steal from rich envoys that entered the city. These acts earned her the reputation of being the "Raven of the Coast." Eventually, however, she was finally captured and jailed for her crimes.

After being held for 2 years for her robberies, she was finally bailed out by an unknown benefactor. He told her one thing at that time: "You're free to go, but I have a job for you..."

Progression of Character: Working up to the Streetfighter class from Complete Adventurer. Then, return to the rogue progression for the remainder of the game.

A question, would you allow healer from the Miniatures handbook as a base class in your game
