Anomalies Anonymous

Game Masters: Grizzly Layne, at your service. No others at the moment.
Game Explanation: Our game is Werewolf: the Apocalypse based, with certain nWoD rules and mechanics and grappling house rules. We are accepting only Ronin, Spirits, Possessed (Drones, Kami, Formori and Gorgons) and Mortals, each of which who will have their own special character sheet and rules. Also be warned, this game has a very "self-contained" mindset, and your characters will be in a position where they will often "shut up and ask no questions". Knowledge of known lore in the oWoD/cWoD universe should be used as a framework, at best; the canon is being used as a toolset. You should be prepared for fairly drastic mind-screwiness, as the metaplot itself may be warped by the actions of the characters.

We start with a giant black void in the middle of nowhere. Your characters, whatever they may be, are floating in this void. They have been sucked here through magic, through spiritual intereference, or through a random portal in time that appeared out of nowhere. For whatever reason, they are now in the Umbra, and they must find their way back to reality whatever that may be in the end. To quote the game planning thread:

"Along the way, they start going insane, warping into WEIRD forms of spirit-ridden (such as pseudo-Gorgons and Fomori), meet crazy spirits, hop between worlds, possibly save a werewolf who was born in another dimension, and then some. I'm considering letting people make werewolves if they're something like Ronin or a member of a tribe who got lost and separated, as this story is more about finding oneself along the way of a journey. I'm taking inspirations from things ranging from Wolf's Rain to Planescape: Torment, so mind-screwiness should be anticipated. I'm also taking creatures like fomori and kami, since I think it would be interesting to see how they interact when they don't always have their little wolfie-packs as backup and/or antagonists."

Application Process: Wanting three to four players for this game, tops. I'll advertise for about a couple of weeks.

Character Creation: You will need the Possessed sourcebook for oWoD/cWoD, as well as some knowledge of nWoD character mechanics (such as the concepts of Speed, Virtue and Vice) and Werewolf: the Apocalypse Revised. I'll provide links to other information you'll need.
