Rifts Between the Worlds

D&D is full of obscure 3rd party materiel and odd and ends. A group of players, some who knew each other and some who where new got together one night. Their DM had been exceptionally gleeful lately after finding a treasure hoard of D&D books at the local used books store.

The group was bigger than normal having new and old players, and those at the door quickly let each other through so they could get in. It didn't take long till they were all in the living room of the large house. Yet something was off, Elizabeth hadn't decorated the room in the little things she normally does to add to the ambient effect of their storytelling. The group talked among themselves for a few minutes before she came through one of the other doors. She smiled at them and said she had something special planned for tonight. She waved for them to follow. Her 'DM Robes' seemed different, now decorated with silver trimmings and a sapphire pendant at her throat.

She led them to a room they've never been in before. The room had been set up with an oval wooden table and several chairs. Candles lit across the room shed light and the smell of dragonsblood incense wafted through the air. The floor had been marked with strange symbols like something seen out of a magic book from the New Age store. She invited everyone to take s seat and let them know she found an interesting campaign....
