The transport ship, Teslan II, is carrying a crew of prisoners to Bastille, a small moon that has been turned into giant prison facility. The prisoners on board the Teslan II is yourselves, convicted of crimes against the Empire. Those crimes may be murder, petty theft in an governenment establishment on one of the Empire's many worlds, or merely speaking a negative opinion against the God-Emperor. You may not even be guilty of anything, simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Whatever the reason, you've been charged with a serious crime and have been sentenced to live out your days on Bastille. You have no idea what awaits you there. You've heard terrible stories about the prison and it's environment, but the guards there speak nothing of it and no one has heard of a prisoner escaping Bastille to tell of any atrocities or dangers there.
