Game Description

Fleeing into Madness is a homebrew, linear adventure-drama with some sandbox-style locations. The world is similar to Paizo's Pathfinder Golarion with some steampunk included. You'll get a map eventually.

This game comprises of several chapters, each with different settings and challenges: players will travel through ruins, see some mystical creations, and doing a bit of sailing. Now, I would be rather remiss if I didn't include ample opportunity to allow exploration of the places after the war. The purpose of having different chapters in the game is to have places where each character can grow and excel while the others support her.

Your characters will have fears to face down, situations to run from, flaws to deal with, and seemingly impossible challenges to overcome. You will be wounded, lied to, cheated and beaten up. If you’re lucky, you will find romance - or buy it - and become wealthy, experienced and revered.

I am not opposed to soloing a character and splitting the party (oh no!) if that is what makes the most sense in the campaign. I’m not merciless in that sense.

This is going to be a long game, and intended for those who want to improve their writing. This game is not for people who want a quick fix on stabbing things in the dark and casting Glitterdust on everything else. Characters will start at level two and advance for a long while. This story we are writing together is a role playing game over a “roll playing” game.
