Many young mage’s think that the tapestry is a small patches of hand weaved material surrounded by a sea of machine weaved material.
Reality is never that clear cut.
Sometimes the weave is worn and patchy, some place’s the two clash causing discordia, other’s they sit on top of each others. And very rarely the two weave’s mesh together so perfectly that you can’t tell where one starts and the others begins.
Even the mighty monolith of the Technocracy understand that each area has to deal with reality deviants in unique and creative ways.
A Mage the Ascension story
In certain places the Tradition’s and Technocracy are held in a state of Cold War because one side or the other can’t gain an advantage over one another. In the United Kingdom this is because the sheer amount of magical sites, of both sides, divides to much attention police them to allow either side to war each others. So both side’s allow the other to police there site’s, occasionally making magical gain’s against the others. In such situations the two side’s have come to respect each others, some might even consider themselves friend’s. At least until there called to defend realty against the deviants.
