This is a playtest of my new system in development, Hakkenslash. It's a simple, 2d6 'classless' fantasy system with easy-to-learn rules. It is a system developed with an OSR-esque feel while being much easier to learn.

The setting is a medieval fantasy post-apocalyptic setting, following a great war that tore through the planes, sundering much of life throughout the realms and nearly wiping out civilization on the Material Plane. Cities and towns are few and far between and settlements are often days and weeks away from the nearest neighbors and built atop the remains of past villages.
Magic is new and intriguing, while feared and often shunned at the same time. It is still wild and unpredictable in the hands of most. The world is in need of brave souls to tame the wild darkness that has reclaimed the lands...or at least keep it at bay!
