End of the Millennium
1,000 years ago, Mota was a lush, green world. Every aspect of the planet's climate, geology, and biology were carefully managed by the supercomputer known as Mother Brain. But when the system broke down, Mota's days of plenty faded away into the desert.
Today, society struggles for survival on a daily basis. City walls offer some protection from the ever-reproducing hordes of Bio Monsters and human ingenuity has proven the equal of environmental hazards… until now.
As the end of the millennium nears, the climate has begun to deteriorate faster and more catastrophically than ever before. Sandstorms and oceans of quicksand threaten to engulf civilization, and worse, the plague of Bio Monsters is spiraling out of control.
A new class of warrior called Hunters are the razor-thin line of defense that stands between civilization and a nasty, brutish, and short end at the teeth, claws, and mandibles of the bio monsters.
Meanwhile, a team of academics study the root causes of the plague in hopes of finding a solution.
Will the answer be found in science? Or steel? Or some greater power from a bygone era, lost to time?
