The people of Therin are no strangers to hardships of life. From the ancient wars between Arkhosia and Bael Turath, to the rise and fall of the Empire of Nerath, Therin has rarely gone through long periods of peace. Until 15 years ago the continent of Therin had endured nearly a hundred years of relative peace. Kingdoms and city-states would have their boarder skirmishes and trade battles, while the occasional rise of orc or hobgoblin armies would raid across its lands. Yet during this time cities and kingdoms grew. Advancements in the arcane would lead to airships and life breathed into autonomous golems.

Still nothing had prepared the denizens of Therin for the Feywild incursion.

It has been 5 years since The Great Push has come to a halt. The eastern lands still lie in waste, forever changed by the Fey and their magic. Rognar and his people now lay claim to much of central Therin, while the west begins to reestablish some sense of normalcy. With a standing army to maintain at Forkenstad, Rognar has formed the Delver’s Union, a guild specializing in hiring mercenaries and adventurers to make incursions to the east. Delvers are tasked with exploring what remains of the east; gathering everything from news to goods, and clear the way for refugees to return to their lands.

About: Adventures in Therin is a hybrid D&D 4e game set in a homebrew, semi-sandbox world that will be played on both Myth-Weavers.com and Roll20.net. Most of the game will be played right here on Myth-Weavers with combat handled by Roll20.net when scheduled. I’m not looking to schedule a specific night every week for combat as this game will lean more heavily on roleplay and skill challenges. D&D 4e combat is dreadfully slow in play-by-post, so I’m looking to overcome that challenge by running combat on an agreed upon evening we can all get together on. Because of this I’m looking for players able to play on some nights in the Eastern Time Zone (GMT-5). This doesn’t mean you have to be in that same time zone, only that you need to be flexible enough to play when evenings (or perhaps weekend afternoons) align with GMT-5.
