Millennium City: Iron and Ashes
Dog carcass in alley this morning, tire tread on burst stomach. This city is afraid of me. I've seen its true face.
March 6, 1981. Millennium City, 'A city for the next millennium'. Heh. If this is the future, you can keep it. You can't walk down a street without stepping over a junkie or weaving through the hookers, and every car going past is a drive-by waiting to happen. The corporations suck every bit of life they can out of this city, leaving the gangs to fight over the bones like jackals. Most of the cops are on the take from someone, and the good ones that are left are outnumbered and outgunned.
As always, it's up to us masks to hold the line against the darkness. But this isn't your daddy's world. We can't be your daddy's superheroes. Lock and load brothers and sisters, this is war.
