Game Description

The House of Dust & AshFor more than a hundred centuries, the Emperor has sat immobile on the Golden Throne of Earth. He is the master of mankind by the will of the gods, and master of a million worlds by the might of his inexhaustible armies. He is a rotting carcass writhing invisibly with power from the Dark Age of Technology. He is the Carrion Lord of the Imperium for whom a thousand souls are sacrificed every day, so that he may never truly die.

With the rebuilding of Terra following the destruction wrought during the Siege of the Emperor’s Palace at the height of the Heresy came a similar reconstituting of the Imperium’s faith. The Temple of the Saviour Emperor came into being when a senior officer of the Imperial Guard, based on Terra itself, claimed to have received the wisdom of the Emperor in a series of visions.

This man, whose original name is lost to history, renamed himself Fatidicus, meaning ‘prophet’ in one of the ancient tongues of the birth world of humanity, and preached his revelation to his peers among the highest echelons of the Imperium’s ruling institutions. These writings and texts were lost in the vaults of the High Lords of Terra themselves.

Based on Terra itself, the Emperor himself is a silent being of awesome power. Contained in the golden throne, this apparatus has sustained him for sometime, but through the teachings of Fatidus, it mentions that 'through everything, with a beginning there is an end. Eternally the cycle of life must break or the consequences of sustaining life after death could result in a irrevocable paradox against the very nature of mankind. Life could ultimately cease to exist.'.

Word has leaked from even the Adeptus Terra themselves that the God Emperor's life is failing and that his withered husk is decaying at alarming rates. Some speculate that the psychic energy used to control or sustain his life is redundant and that maybe the golden throne failing him is his way of letting go. These wide spread rumors have swept over Earth and the very fabric of the Terra's citizens.

But your story is of difference and one in the same. Starting in the throws of a devastating mission, networking through black catacombs on the planetary underbelly of the hive world of Solomon, risking anything to stay alive, finding a relic of immense worth to your agent Inquisitor.

This mission is short lived as your acolyte team is thrown in the thrones of another mission of great importance among another Inquisitor of merit and worth. You learn that the House of Dust and Ash has grave importance not only on the planet of Solomon but the immediate Sol System itself.
