Game Description

Kobe, Japan, 2027.

Twenty years have passed since the end of the Kanto war, the country is still doing its best to recover from the consequences of such conflict also thanks to the help received from international funding. However, the agreements that had to be signed to receive them still elicit some grumbling and bellyache from certain parts of the population; the Time-Space Administration Bureau's offices through the country have drastically increased in number and international observers are close and busy in every large town, directly influencing politics, especially those regarding war damage and reconstruction.

The modern world has seen an unprecedented increase in visitors, transfers and even invaders from other worlds. And yet, the Kanto war was fought mostly between humans in unreconcilable positions regarding the issue: after all, Japan had been suffering for several years of rampant overpopulation, and the tiny island could do little to prevent such a powder keg from exploding. On the bright side, inter-dimensional traffic is much better regulated not just in Japan but throughout the globe now, thanks to international agreements and a much more diplomatically strong impact of TSAB policies and regulations. Japan has signed the Extraspecies Act, along with the vast majority of other countries, and most non-humans no longer need to keep a low profile when walking the earth.

Still, the everyday lives of ordinary people haven't changed much. Most odd beings can be handwaved as cosplayers with a bit of effort on the imagination and rejection of reality, magic doesn't really feature on the majority of households and when it does it's hardly important. The main concerns of the average family are left unchanged: finding a job, earning money, paying the bills, sending the children to school and saving something for retirement.

This story takes place in the Roch household, a noble family from Europe. Those living in Kobe belong to the Steiner branch and are currently represented by Isabella Steiner, an ordinary 16 years old high school girl that is close to inheriting plenty of duties and responsibilities following the sudden disappearance of both her parents in a travel accident over twelve years ago. Their villa in the outskirts of Kobe looks considerably out of place as the architecture doesn't quite follow japanese standards. It also houses plenty of servants, and more maids than are strictly necessary.

Roch is also a heavy industry group of which Isabella Steiner is going to be part of, one day. And despite the lazy, ordinary days flow through without a single worry, something is bound to change in the near future, both for the house and the rest of the world.
