Full Disclosure
Welcome, JSR & Hero's Journey friends! This will be our foray into the world of Play by Post. This is also my first time as an official Storyteller. This will also NOT be intended for conversion into a Hero's Journey game.
This will still be current day, as expected of Scion. However, this world is a bit different than our own.
Making news around the world is an "undisclosed event" in the countries of China and India which has displaced approximately 2.5 billion people. Russia, Australia, South Korea, the United States, and Japan have provided refuge for the displaced individuals, while North Korea, much of Africa & Indonesia, and Mexico have publicly closed their doors to both refugees and, really, any form of immigration. The "undisclosed event" occurred during a time of heavy outreach by The Vatican toward the war-torn countries of central Africa. The Pope was captured during the mission, along with his entourage. No ransom or anything of the sort besides a simple message has appeared. The message, shown on Al-Jazeera, was a video with The Pope in a cell and a sign reading: "We have your Father. Will your god save him?"
