Game Description

Everyone who lives in Los Angeles knows that things are different here than they might appear to the gawking outsiders who pass through but you know that most people are still as clueless as the tourists they mock. There are things that go bump in the night (and not just would-be stars and starlets, either). Somebody has to keep this city safe from those things. This time, it looks like its down to you. Are you ready?

A submerged Dresden files game set in Los Angeles, about four years after the fall of the Red Court. Things are mopped up around here, the power players have all divided up the local landscape. Things are good if you've got power/talent/money and if you don't, well, pretend that they are until you can make it so. The game opens with you at the Sleepless Eye, an all-night occult bookstore (and Accorded Neutral Ground). You're here investigating the swirling, black line that has grown on your arm after a particularly vivid nightmare where it grew on your arm and then sapped your strength, ultimately killing you. Unfortunately, no one else can see the line except others who have it (AKA the Other PCs). The Sleepless Eye is always shifting with people in the middle of the night and you're hardly alone there.

For city creation, I'm using the on-the-fly method during recruitment, but we'll get together during and after the first adventure to keep growing the city and all of you involved. Because, while I'm the type of person who loves to make stuff up, I want to include the group.
Opening Theme: The Glamor Hides The Blight
Face: Kyu (Not her True Name) whose high concept is Summer's Nine-Tailed Kitsune Fixer and she's the boss of the local Summer Court, which holds a lot of power over Los Angeles. She's about on par with Leandesidhe in power level and station (albeit in her opposite court).

For character creation, I'd like you to be from Los Angeles with a connection to the local supernatural scene (Making Shit Up about the city: Definitely encouraged.). "Mechanically", write up your sheet (Submerged: 10 refresh, 35 Skill Points, Superb skill cap) and the first five aspects (Make it Through "Your Story") normally. Then put in a place-holder for the last two, something the book might describe as "Tepid". "Forceful" for example. Then, once we've got players ironed out, everybody will get a chance to go back and integrate that in some way into the other story and that should inform what that comes out to.
