Twilight Imperium: Shaded Stars
Shaded Stars is a role-playing game set in the universe of Twilight Imperium, a board-game designed by Chrsitian T. Petersen.
The game is set far in the future where Great Races compete for the rule of the galaxy - to fill the void left by the last great ruler-civilization, the Lazax Empire. The various Great Races must seize their destiny by any means necessary! Perhaps the peaceful Xxcha Kingdoms will use honeyed words and leverage to enshrine a galactic democracy, perhaps the opportunistic Emirates of Hacan will use their economic weight to squeeze the other races into submission, perhaps the martial Barony of Letnev will stamp out the opposition and carve out a new empire in the style of the Lazax! Perhaps the Great Races will, while they are at each other's necks, fail to deal with the new problems facing the galaxy and a new dark age will ensue! Who can tell!?
Each player will take on the role of one of the Great Races. They must use all the tools available to them to compete for public objectives while slyly manoeuvring in the galactic council to fulfil their secret objective. Role-playing, strategy, and manipulation abound in Shaded Stars.
