Game Description

Resting in the heart of Virginia, the small city of Rosewood is a rare gem of beauty when it comes to an ideal location for vacationers and natives alike. While no one is exactly sure when Rosewood was established, or can exactly pin down what they've heard about the place, all they really know is that it 'should' be something incredible, right?

Near the eastern outskirts of the city, atop a large plateau of land that overlooks the local quadrant of the town amidst the extensive treeline, resides the Rosewood Hotel and Resorts. The large 75-acre resort houses some of the finest sources of restaurants, entertainment and relaxation in the eastern half of the country. Majestically beautiful and properly secured, the resort serves as a luxurious haven for those seeking some time off the busy track of their day to day lives.

The only snag perhaps would be that this beautiful resort has no reviews, feedback, or even a page on facebook, let alone anyone mentioning how the resort came to be. But don't let the silence fool you, this is a dream resort, and the ideal place for your dream vacation.

=================

Welcome to The Rosewood Hotel, a survival/horror game that has been stylized to mix several various horror themes and worldscapes into a singular collective. You will find flavoring of Silent Hill, Battle Royale, Alan Wake, The Shining and Corpse Party Blood Covered. While taken fully in their own respective means of horror, this would certainly seem too congested to throw together, but I intend on lightly incorporating different aspects of each in a flowing mixture that will continue to expand and grow.

This game uses the standard Fate Core system with a few small additions to the mechanics, that are mentioned in the System folder. Likewise, I have placed all character creation information there as well. If you have any questions on how to build your character or on the Fate mechanics themselves, please feel free to ask me.

Initially, characters will only be able to access the first floor of the resort and the surrounding outside areas. Over time, each floor will open up and eventually, Rosewood itself may be accessable to the characters trapped within the nightmarescape. All progression from each character will reveal themselves in numerous and uniquely different ways. While some actions may serve the greater good in unraveling mysteries, other actions may unintentionally place others in danger.

This game by its very nature is both a singular and team-based campaign. Players are free to play as they desire and react accordingly to the world and the mysteries before them, but in the same sense, they are all striving towards a singular goal: Escaping with their lives. The issue stems from the fact that some characters value their lives more than others... but isn't that how things go?

In this campaign, every skill will be utilized and the characters will be tested mentally, physically and morally throughout this ever-evolving story. Combat will occur throughout the game, but just the same, non-combat skills are equally essential towards your survival. It is quite possible to survive without having ever made a single attack, but just the same, it is possible to survive by doing nothing but attacking. With that said though, the world itself will test you, and you will either overcome the hell or you will be consumed by it.

I intend on this to be a campaign that can change any number of ways, and that your decisions will decide your fate, and perhaps the fate of others. There are thousands of ways to meet your demise, and only a small handful of ways to escape.

May you live to see your home one more time...
