Rise of the Runelords
The town of Sandpoint is a small one, only about 8,000 people call it home. When bad things happen, it affects the entire town, even if those events are isolated. Recently, that is what happened here. The folks called it "The Late Unpleasantness" -- Lonjiku Kajitsu, a local nobleman, lost his wife in an accident. A trader was found dead of an apparent suicide along with his family, and the most tragic of all, the fire that consumed the local Cathedral, taking the lives of Father Tobyn and his lovely daughter Nualia.
A new Cathedral has been built, and Sandpoint is looking towards brighter days with their annual Swallowtail Festival. Food, drinks and games will wash away thoughts of the recent Late Unpleasantness.
