A land, that you do not quiet remember ever seeing on a map before and a place you really do not remember setting off towards for any set purpose. However, none of that matters now as you come face to face with the man you were sent to find for the promise of a safe place to sleep for the night. The man is not just that, but a bit more, you've seen this curse of the blood before his mouth has expanded to five times its normal size and his teeth are razor sharp and drip the blood of some unexpected villager who was just checking on his livestock. The light of the full moon turn the blood to a black color, the fur which covers his body also has this black coloring stained all over.
Werewolf. Lycanthrope. Whatever you call them, doesn't matter now as you never had the need to carry silver anything before. But the beast is fast and thankfully clumsy, you dodge his swipes with ease and counter with your sword driving a killing blow between the shoulder blades as he fell forward. The strength in your blow drives through the chest and into the ground below, pinning the dying beast to the earth as it spills its own black blood onto the wheat. You dare not remove your sword, but use your back up and behead the werewolf.
From the distance, the feeling of eyes watching takes over your senses. What else is out there tonight? No matter. The unsuspecting villager who died before you got there has started twitching, and you need a good night sleep still.
