Game Description

"Today is a day of days. Today, you all become citizens of the Nation of Light. You shall go forth from this moment onward and serve your God Emperor in all things, remembering that it is He who protects our way of life from the wretched scum of this world. It is He whose very essence powers our Great Shield. It is He who created the Guardians to protect us from the threat of evil plaguing this land. It is He who..."

Yeah, yeah. This is a rhetoric you've heard a hundred times before. The God Emperor is the big cheese, and you all owe him everything. Inside the walls of the Grand City, you've built a life. You've finally come to today, the day you attain your citizenship officially, and that means celebrations and speeches. BORING. You'd rather be out working the streets, hitting up the pious for their goods and avoiding the Guard.

Or perhaps the words of the High Priest strike your heart, and reveal truths to you like none you've ever heard before. Perhaps the path to true enlightenment lies in your divine purpose, Emperor only knows. But whatever you have coming to you, your faith will keep you strong.

Or maybe you are just here to sell your wares. Hell, it isn't like you can go to the neutral territories just outside the borders of the Nation of Light. I mean, who would you trade with? The dwarves, stuck in their mountains as much as their ways? The elves, hiding in their forest city that only they can locate? Oh, maybe you can sell to the savage orc nomads in the desert, eh? Not like they are impossible to find, and would kill you in a heartbeat anyway. No, you deal with the humans. Good folk, for the most part. This citizenship means open trade, and maybe even a shop someday. Lucky you!

Or maybe this is all what you were forced into, as a resident of the City of Light. I mean, everyone has to do this when they come of age if they want to stay in the country, so why not? Shake some hands, have a toast or two, listen to some speeches and then it's back to life as normal.

Perhaps your story will be different? Perhaps your time here will be markedly special? Who knows, my friend? Who knows? No matter what, may I be the first to welcome you to the world of Amaranthia.
