Game Description

For generations the nomadic tribes of Kongal have lived in isolation from the rest of the world. Their southern border is protected by a great canyon the stretches from a large mountain range in the west to an open tundra in the east. To the North is a great pine forest an on the other side the polar ocean. Kongal is home to a wide variety of races who have no well established territory but lay claim to migration routes dating back hundreds of years. Scattered farms, mining communities, trade villages, and small cites dot the vast empty expanse. Technology is scarce and magic rare but not forgotten. About twenty years ago a group of Brightly clad horsemen crossed the Great Canyon and rode for months into the southern steppes. At first they appeared to come with little ill will, they traded, raided, took slaves, sold goods, and drew little attention to them slaves until they came upon the Dolomis Strip Mine. The larges metal producing city in Kongal is rich in iron, bronze, copper, gold, silver, electrum, platinum. The Bright ones decided that it should be their's and set siege. Finally the Half Orc Chieftain Thunk Double Drum drove them from the steppes by uniting the 21 tribes. Consiting of Orcs, goblins, bugbears, humans, Halflings, elves, koblads, gnomes, dwarves, Trolls, giants, ettins, centaurs, gnolls, harpies, hobgoblins, Minotaur, ogre, ogre magi, nymphs, and a smattering of lesser races the 21 tribes drove the Bright ones out of Kongal. Thunk Double Drum recognized the likelihood of their return and established the Vigilant Eyes. A loose group of patrols set to warn the tribes of attacks. In the years since the Vigilant Eyes have become little more than a mercenary band that has an extra duty to watch the boarders. The commanders sell their soldiers to merchants, raiders, cities, and any one who has coin or trade goods to make it worth their time.

One year ago the Vigilant Eyes left their contracts en masse and marched to the southern boarder where across the canyon they could see a large city being built. High walls, higher towers, gleaming stone, and countless Bright Ones brought on a wave of panic through out Kongal.

Thunk Double Drum, now in his old age, issued a call once again for the 21 tribes to band together incase the Bright ones attempt to cross and invade again.
