Game Description

Hi All,

I DM a game in real life but want to start running a casual Play by Post. My vision is for a straight forward and fun game that starts basic/cliche while I get a handle on running the game and once comfortable we'll crank up the epic-ness.

I aim for simple yet memorable settings with a focus on role playing, open ended problem solving and fun.

I can log in and post at least once a day and players should aim to do so once every... 48 hours? I won't be anal about it until we get into a groove that works for us all.

If you're still interested, the opening scene will look like this (and yes it's a blatant burning plague rip off, but only in concept to get us started. It'll be a short mission to get the party together and from there things will open up.)

The town of Staligholme nestled within the windy peaks upon the Saddleback Mountains has been afflicted with a most terrible plague. Birds no longer flitter between roof tops, crops are dying and the strongest men lay wheezing and coughing in their beds, covered in a red burning rash, punctuated with large yellow liquid filled boils.

Anyone passing through town are summouned to the Lord Mayors house. A normally handsome chiseled face is drawn and gaunt with dark circles on his eyes leaving him looking like a wet clammy living corpse. He explains that the party has happened upon the town in most unfortunate of circumstances and begs for their aid. His son, a long blonde haired youth of 18 descended into the mines a day ago on the advice the source of the curse lay there, and he has not returned since and their presence means within 48 hours they will suffer the same fate...
