And in With the New
"and in with the New" is a sister campaign to the postponed Champions of Reach City (CRC) and is all about playing a group of adolescent superheroes inspired by the likes of Young Justice, the Teen Titans, the Runaways, Generation X, the New Mutants, and the Young Avengers. While the game will be played using the Marvel Heroic Roleplaying system, the universe it takes place in are unique to this game. That means players will be asked to create all new heroes (or to create an expy of an existing hero). These young supers are trying to make it to the big leagues, to join the ranks of this worlds version of the Justice League, the National Liberty Alliance (NLA). But first they must overcome their internal conflicts and learn what it takes to be a superhero.
If you're familiar with any of the works I listed above you're probably familiar with the mixture of action/adventure and drama that this game will be going for. I'm looking for 3 to 5 players who are as interested in exploring personal goals, back story, and inter-party relations as they are in thwarting villains and saving lives. Like many comics, the story starts in media res, and the question of how your characters got to this point is explored in scattered chunks as we barrel forward.
The game will take place in New Coast City, a fictional city that exists "somewhere" in the New England region. With Crime and corruption at an all time high these powerful teenagers formed a new team, having only been together for a couple months when they are approached by one of the NLA's very own, seeking their help.
