The City of Lost Souls
Our adventure begins and centers itself around the city known by many names: Sharn. The City of Towers, The City of Knives, The City of Lost Souls, The City of a Thousand Eyes, The Gateway to Xen'drik, and The Gateway to Perdition are but a few. Sharn is all of these and so much more to its more than 200,000 inhabitants. It is the largest metropolis on the continent of Korvaire where more of the humanoid civilization thrives, seated atop a cliff-side on the south-eastern coast of Korvaire. Sharn overlooks the The Hilt, the bay that feeds the Dagger River and lets out into the Thunder Sea and the Straights of Shargon.
Every day, a hundred adventures unfold in the City of Towers. Heroes arise and meet their doom; treasures are unearthed, stolen, and recovered; and villains plot unending schemes of wickedness to unleash upon the city. In districts from soaring Skyway to the sweltering Cogs, thousands upon thousands of people from every race and nation toil and play, eat, drink, and die among the towers.
Whatever brought you to Sharn has inevitably brought you to a life of adventure. So welcome to the city of shadows, mystery, and the many possible lives that await within. All of the hold the chance of greatness and the sureness of danger.
