Game Description

An old human sailor landed upon Eademleuad, after a bad storm forced his boat into the bay. At first he was just going to use the island as a midway break point, repair some things on his ship, and leave the next morning. When morning came, the old man was so overcome with the beauty of the island. The sun seemed to rise right between the two points at the entrance of the bay. The bay waters were so blue and calm, that the old man decided to stay. The man spent his time learning the island from the mountain ranges, to the grassy plains, to the thick forests, down to the beaches by the water.

As years past more came to find the island similar to the way he had. He started to constantly travel and welcome any who landed. More humans came to land then elves. Soon the eladrin, drow and tieflings arrived. Dwarfs and dragonborn showed up next, along with the minotaur. The shard minds and kobolds seemed to appear out of nowhere. At the beginning all these races stuck to themselves. They all claimed small territories and made little trading agreements with those who lived closest to their own territories. Though as time went on many of the territories blended into one.

The first year a new race didn't arrive the old sailor, that many on the island referred to as ‘The Wise’, held a celebration on the first beach he landed on. He traveled to each territory and invited the few that lived there to a night of feast. Every race on the island attended. The night included a huge bonfire, homemade wine, plenty of food, and games in the water. When sunset came to pass and sun rose in the morning many decided to move to the beach, for the wonderful view and lovely waters. When the party was over everyone left with new friends, and new understanding.

As the old sailor’s time came to pass, all gathered for one last celebration on the beach in his honor. The old man took the hand of one of his closest most trusted friends, a dragonborn. The old man said to him “take care of the people on this island, they are all family”. The dragonborn swore to protect this land. That night everyone elected to call the island Eademleuad, meaning ‘the same moon’. For as they fall to sleep on their home island, they all lay under the same moon.

The morning after the old mans passing the Dragonborn stood among the gathered races and announced what The Wise and asked of him, and his oath to see it through. All but the eladrin and tieflings agreed to have the dragonborn as their leader. The eladrin suggested that one of their own would be more suitable, though they were sated with being the guardians of the bay entrance. The tiefling refused to let a heathen dragonborn rule over them. The dragonborn, angered at their petty ideals, told them to leave if they weren't happy with it. Quite a few tiefling stayed for they disagreed with the majority, but all the other tiefling removed themselves to a small outlying island near the bottom tip. The Dragonborn declared that any tiefling that left the main island could not return, but they could still trade with the main island. This angered all the tieflings but they complied, the ones who wanted to stay did, all the rest left. This was the first of a long history of distrust on this island with the tieflings.
When the dragonborn passed away he left his rule to his eldest son, and so on and so forth. The passing down of this power stayed in this Dragonborn lineage to this present day The distrust of tieflings continued as well.

There are rumors of a tiefling army forming on the small island, and that they are getting backed by a mainland to the east. Though the tieflings are claiming this to be false. There is also growing unease among the races toward the eladrin. The current dragonborn ruler, Renok’etu, is working his hardest to pull together all of the territories militia and then some into a formidable army, but the eladrin are refusing. They claim that their forces are more needed at the front. This claim is only barely being tolerated. To add even more pressure on everyone there has been attacks and killings in the human/ elf territory, and everything keeps leading back to the eladrin. Who angrily deny it. Everything is falling apart. More and More races have begun forming bigger militias, refusing Renok’etu to use them, to try and safeguard themselves against all the unknown threats.

The attacks are growing, races are starting to turn against each other after centuries of friendships. Is this the end of Eademleuad?
