A Queen's Gambit
Blue skies, warm weather and plenty of...plenty. There's just nothing to worry about as long as you work hard, obey the law and treat your fellows fairly. In a word, the Queendom of Shintar is boring. In tidy little towns all over the Queendom, Priestesses of Aunteia preside over councils comprised of older women who in turn govern each place with the Queen's confidence. The magic of Aunteia has protected the Shintari for generations from predatory hordes of Orcs, envious petty Kings and more over, any internal conflict that may have arisen had men still been permitted to pass titles to their sons. It wasn't always this way though and the people of Shintar know they are blessed, but nothing lasts forever...
