Suggested Theme Music: Epic Poem to Sacred Death

The Urban League... a unified group of individuals who maintain the protection of civilization. To them, the very dungeons, hamlets, and bastion capitol cities are gods unto themselves, granting a symbiotic relationship to those who dwell within them.

It is common knowledge in the kingdom of Thorodon that most cities and town have a 'Wedded'. An Urban Druid who, though ritual, has wed themselves to the city itself. They are unable to leave the boundaries of their city, save to other nearby villages who act as vital trade and support to the city they are married to. Most are aware that the city is just as alive as any god whom may be worshiped. Each town has a personality, and even feelings. A Wedded can feel the pain of their city as if it were a part of their body.

Sil Doran, the capital of Thorodon, had known a great prosperity in the lifetime of Melfinnian, the Wedded of Sil Doran. Despite this, the Urban League was not an order which hinged on morality. Many hungry suitors began to line up, waiting for Melfinnian's demise so that they may make the pact with the city itself. The city felt their ambitions, and knew that such ambition would not see the Sil Doran's best interests. The city reflected their bitterness as buildings decayed and the trees and gardens around the city had a harder time growing.

Melfinnian was not even cold when a powerful Druid, drunken with mad lust for Sil Doran, broke his vows and attempted to perform the Wedding without the city's consent. Wounded from the attempt of being forcefully taken, Sil Doran shut itself away from the power of the Urban League. The city gained true sentience from the botched ritual and all divine power within her limits became hampered from her sentience. The Royal Family was trapped there, Sil Doran demanding that she become the new ruler of Thorodon, for other sentient beings were ambitious and cruel creatures and unfit to be rulers.

Almost a century has passed, and the rule of Sil Doran has not been a horrific time in history. The Royal Family willingly yields to her wishes, and she has kept civilization at peace around the nation. None the less, her borders have been expanding because of this peace, and the towns which were once a distance away are deeply in fear of being "killed" and assimilated by Sil Doran.

You are a citizen of Rorwick, having lived your life in this river town through birth or happenstance. It is an upbeat port town which supplies many of the towns nearby, including a lifeline to the capitol.

Soon... the madness of Sil Doran will come to the surface, and all who dwell in her borders will know her pain.
---

Yes... you are facing an ever-evolving sentient city gone mad with grief.

- Level 6
- 32 Point Buy
- Max HP at first, you can roll or go average afterwards
- Divine Casters who stand on Sil Doran territory will roll on the Wild Magic table on the SRD.
- If it's got domains, you can worship it. This world is pretty open to the planes.
- Alignment: It's best if you work as a party... however... I will not disallow PvP. As long as you are not obvious that you are a dastardly bastard, I'll consider it. I will choose party-compatible applications over party-smashers, though.
- Books: Anything past Core or the Complete set, ask me to see if I have it. No home brew. Urban classes from Eberron are also allowed, but it's a double-edged blessing which you will find out through game play.
- Taking 4-6 players.
- I prefer Role over Roll play, but I'm not looking for novels. Just make it entertaining.
- Races: No LA's please, and anything too far out of Core, please ask for approval and reference the book for me.
- Semi-Sandbox: Yeah... the land is being overwhelmed by a mad city, but if you want to say "screw the Urban League" and join forces with Sil Doran... I'm not gonna stop you. Give you consequences, sure, but I won't stop you.
- I have some quirky house rules for Character Creation to spice things up. I'll post those shortly.
- Deadline is April 22, but if this concept is too cool for Myth-Weavers, I will stop the apps at 15 applicants.
- I will try to post lore, as I just pulled this campaign out of my rump due to insomnia before I went to the hospital. Expect more to be posted as the application period goes on.
- I prefer daily posts, but sometimes I don't even get there. I am doing school at the same time as this, so I might get busy some days. I will let you know my posting habits on the board pertaining to that.

I've GM'ed in the past and have been doing Play By Post for over half my lifetime. It's been a long time, though, so please keep things as simple as possible. I've tried grand projects only to have them land in my face before. I'm hoping this plot is interesting enough to keep people going and grow characters from level 1-20. I tend to be a generous GM, but my math skills are HORRENDOUS. I will need a player to be my resident calculator for EXP, if they don't mind. I do give brownie points for genius, good rp, and I might even throw in some of my infamous house rules from my table top games including a fatality system for deaths by crit.
