Game Description

Welcome to Rock Feudal, the freeform game of lords and ladies in a fantasy setting. In this game each PC will inherit a small duchy, which they can use to pursue dreams of wealth, power, or personal fulfillment. A lot more information can be found in the interest thread here.

Some tasters should give you a bit of an idea of the setting:

The Kingdom of Ograven has the sea on three sides, but from the west, from a range of impassable mountains, came the Visage. Never before seen, this race of horse-sized spiders burned a place in history. One by one, the lords of Ograven fell, and watched in horror as the spiders selected the most beautiful among them and removed their faces. These were affixed to each spider's foreleg, from which they gained new life in service to their arachnid host, granting the Visage the power of human speech. The last lords surrendered in terror and shame to the faces of their friends.

For half a century Ograven was held in the clutches of the Visage. But, a fair wind brought the knights of the south, who drove the Visage back, and forced them to obey the laws of men. The law said that the Visage must pay for their faces, and keep the vicitim alive, by the application of a bronze mask. The Faceless now fill small villages throughout Ograven, sometimes made rich by their sacrifice, but forever shamed in the eyes of other humans. The law was the price the Visage paid for Ograven, and they obeyed in exchange for retaining the kingdom.

A few decades later, Ander, the lord of Gylex invaded Ograven and restablished human control. Wresting a few duchies from the grasping clutches of the Visage, he taught the spiders another law of men: might makes right. Famous for his many wives and consorts, Ander was more enamored of war than anything else. The lord of Gylex and his knights fought themselves to poverty, disease, and the hatred of their people. Ander himself fell to fever, and his many lands were divided among his children. Gylex went to the eldest, Ander II, and the stolen parts of Ograven go to you.
