Fate Shenanigans
The city of Shen Anor's Gain has become infamous for its strict immigration policy, and for its harsh laws. Its citizens are tightly policed. No weapons, no mind altering substances, no external currencies, no practice of magic. These laws are enforced by the Mind, Eyes, and Arms, the only groups in the city legally allowed to wield weapons and magic.
But the harder the law pushes, the harder the underworld pushes back. So it is that the city of Shen Anor's Gain is swarming with thieves, cut-throats, muggers, murderers, and adventurers. It is this last to which our story pays heed.
Chasing half a rumour of wealth and intrigue a fresh band of adventurers have sought dubious channels, aiming to enter the city through its least guarded route. To do this they have sold their gear, bringing with them only the gold to pay their way in. Clad in chains and caged aboard a prison wagon, they are led into the heart of the city's famous prison district. From there they must make their escape into the city itself and find shelter among the criminal underworld, dodging the long Arms of the law as they do.
After that? Well, their adventure has only just begun. After all, it's the name of the job.
