The X Files New Beginning
The X-files are cases deemed unsolvable by the Federal Bureau of Investigations. They are projects outside of the main purview of the Bureau and usually concerned with unexplained phenomena. Until 1990 the X-files never had a team or agents assigned to looking into them and were generally hidden away within the depths of the department. This changed when an established behavioral specialist requested to open the cases. Soon the X-Files Unit began looking into the cases and even solved some cases . The Unit was disbanded in the early 2000s after the disgrace of the agent in charge and fellow agents moving on.
Recently Assitant Deputy Director John Doggett was signed to reopen the investigations into the X-Files His new unit was to look into the unsolvable files and serve to assist local law enforcement in solving cases with a seemingly unexplainable element. These are their stories.
What is this?
This is a NWoD mortal game set roughly in the X-files universe.
Why would you do this?
Well I always liked the X-Files and with the 6 episode continuation upcoming I thought others might want to have some fun in the universe.
Who are you?
Just a guy who enjoys the NWoD and the X-files trying to tell some fun stories and find what truths I can.
What is cannon?
Forget what you think you know happened on the X-files. Yes we all loved some parts and hated other parts, some people loved how much aliens came to play in the mythos, but others were not so enthusiastic. In this game we are going back more towards the beginning and we aren't going to be quite sure what is going on. Don't assume that because it was cannon that in this game happened or will happen. In fact I wouldn't expect there to be an overall alien conspiracy at all. Enjoy the ride and embrace not knowing, but keep looking because the Truth is out there.
What do I need to play?
The NWoD core book, somewhere above loathing and below fanaticism towards the X-files, and a willingness to post every couple days.
How do I apply?
Hop into the forums, read the FAQ and Lore section (the lore section will continue to grow). Follow those rules and we will have some fun.
When does this add close?
When I’ve accepted 4 players. We will start soon after that.
