A King's Request
The Kingdom of Amakiir has fallen under a shadow. Although spring has arrived in full, the flowers do not bloom and the birds have not returned from their winter journey. It is as if the whole of the countryside reflects the mood of the King Alistolus. Wise and long lived, the King grieves for his daughter who has fallen into a state of perpetual slumber. For months she has lain undisturbed while the King has summoned wizards, clerics and witches of all renown and repute. None have been able to lift this affliction from the Princess. Finally the King resolved to send a caravan to escort her to the Woodland Realm of his Queen, hoping that the powerful magic she possesses will be enough to undo the spell.
Each of you has received a letter with your name scrawled on the front of the envelope. As you take hold of it a pulse of magic emits from it. The pulse settles over you in a wave of cool air and the envelope dissolves into thin air. The letter that heretofore was folded neatly appears in your hand, ready to be read.
Your presence is urgently requested. Please journey with all due haste to the castle of our lord, King Alistolus. He has a proposition he wishes for you to consider.
Setting: This is a setting of my own. This will be a chance for us to create a world together. I have some general locations plotted out, but if you'd like to contribute with your back story I will gladly work with you to include it in the game world.
I'm looking for 4-5 players. Any level of experience with 5e is welcomed. We will all learn together.
Character Creation You will begin as a level 1 character. All classes are currently open, and all races too. This is a fantasy setting. I will be treating the races how they are categorized in the PHB the Common are as follows :Dwarf, Elf, Halfling and Human. The rest are Uncommon. They're not off limits, but people will react to them accordingly. A Goliath in a small human village will elicit stares etc. If you want to play a Drow I wont stop you. What I'm looking for is a group of people who want to roleplay their characters first and foremost and then rollplay second. That being said, I'd recommend not playing a character of evil persuasion. It just makes for conflict we don't need. If you 100% want to then PM me and we can talk about it.
Stats will be rolled on the Rolling Stats thread. It will be the standard roll 4d6. You can also decide you want to use the standard array if you like.
