Endless Adventures
Endless Adventures is an adventure game using a set of rules I created. I took some mechanics I liked from different game systems, added a few original ideas, and created a tiny rules lite game that fits my GM style.
With that said though, I will be running this game a little different than most play-by-post games I’ve seen or have ran in the past. In this game I remove the “burden” of writing from the players, having them focus mostly on reporting their character’s actions in response to the “Story” thread, which is solely controlled by the GM (with a few exceptions).
This style of PBP will be a little slower in the storytelling department than a standard PBP game, and while I’ve taken measures to speed up the game, this slowness is still apparent. Players may help in keeping the speed of the game up by being clear in explanation of their character's actions so that other players and the GM can understand what they are wanting their character to do. I expect a lot of back and forth q&a between players and the GM, like an actual live roleplaying game does, before a roll or a story post is even added.
The game rules follow the generic D&Dish fantasy game world as my plan is to rummage through my collection of old Dungeon Magazines and D&D modules and play some of the adventures I always wanted to play or “reboot” some stories with new characters and new rules. While at the same time run some original adventures or a few modern non-D&D, but still fantasy (or are they?), adventures.
Seeing as these are my homemade game rules, I might find something in them during game play that didn't work out the way I wanted them too. If this situation occurs, I'll inform everyone of the rules change.
Finally, since these are my favorite game rules and I have a bazillion fantasy adventures ready to play, the stories that can be told are infinite and the adventures, endless.
