Game Description

Once upon a time, the Sequeven Kingdom was a decent place to live. There was no war, nobody to fight with, prosperity abounded, and King Pavel Lackman was a fair and just king. Life in the Sequeven Kingdom was a refreshing breath of normalcy and daily routine. Of course, it couldn't last. On the eve of his daughter's fourteenth birthday, slow and subtle changes in the governing of Sequeven took place. At first, it seemed these changes were merely superficial gestures to pamper and cater to the desires and needs of Princess Selise. But then, it became clear that deeper, more negative consequences as a result of these changes were making themselves known throughout the kingdom. Food shortages, disease, political scandal and bickering among the noble class, an increase in crime and poverty.

On the eve of Princess Selise's sixteenth birthday, the princess herself announced that she would be in charge of the Sequeven Kingdom due to her father falling terribly ill. The rights and privileges of various nobles became much more restricted at this time, and it seemed that the Sequeven Kingdom had fallen into the hands of an oppressive, self-indulgent, teenaged dictator. Naturally, this only exacerbated Sequeven's problems even further. By the time of the princess's eighteenth birthday, rumors began to abound that the princess had simply done away with her father entirely. Assassination attempts were made (all failed), small pockets of rebellion and resistance were formed and crushed, and Sequeven continued to decline.

Now, the princess's twenty-first birthday has come and passed. The annual Princess Day Parade marked to celebrate this occasion saw a rise in delinquent activity. A select number of Sequeven citizens were imprisoned by the princess for crimes against the princess. They alone might well be given the chance to take the kingdom back and restore it to its former glory.
