The economy is weaker than ever, jobs are hard to come by, the NHL lockout is in full swing, and the first snow of the year has just fallen on the North Shore mountains. Outside of Canada the war in Afghanistan continues to see insurgency and suicide bombings, while the Taliban has turned their attention to Pakistan, and the civil war in Syria rages on.

Astronomer Rick Carrington is a guest on tonight's weather news with observations of solar activity over the past few days. He believes that the solar activity he was been tracking are a precursor to a coronal mass ejection, or solar flare from the sun will cause the Aurora Borealis to be visible almost all the way down to Mexico tomorrow night; Friday, December 21st, 2012.
House Rules
This campaign is going to be using a heavily modified/houseruled version of d20 Modern, taking several updates from Pathfinder (skill/feat progression, CMB/CMD, etc...), as well as some other modifications such as Vitality/Wounds instead of HP, etc... All these modified rules will be made available to prospective players before character creation begins.
