Dragon Age: Untold Tales of the Bannorn
Ferelden, 9:25 Dragon. Cailan Theiran's coronation was but a few months ago, after the disappearance of his father Maric. Things have become uneasy in Ferelden. News of Maric's disappearance has spread to the Orlesians, who seem eager to test the young king. The bannorn are less than thrilled with their new ruler, considering him to be a poor imitation of Maric, unworthy of the crown. Cailan, to his credit, has rallied his supporters, and kept the best of his father's advisors, but at the age of twenty, many feel that the boy king is being manipulated by Teyrn Loghain. Loghain, however, has taken much of the kingdom's navy, searching for Maric, leaving Ferelden open to invasion by sea.
Ferelden's fear of the Orlesians has not cooled, and their anger has been tempered into a fine blade. There is no doubt that most citizens of the kingdom would sooner lay down their lives than wear the Empress' chains again, but unrest seems inevitable. Bann Piran Myghal, ruler of Gaël, a Ferelden city close to the Orlesian border, is doing whatever he can to foster some sort of peace between the two great nations, but he's having trouble with issues in his own land. It is in Gaël that this story begins, at a peace summit and celebration within Gaël's palace.
This is a fantasy-style GURPS game. I have a few rules specific to the setting and some racial and origin templates, all of which I will make available to people. This will largely be a cooperative storytelling experience. Combat is something that may happen, certainly, but it's not something that will always happen. GURPS is an extremely, extremely lethal game, but I'm not the sort of GM that's generally out to get you or anything like that.
