Game Description

~Oh, amigo/Here we do things slow/Money, art, a broken heart/Where did you want to go~
-Concrete Blonde, "Mexican Moon"

Mexico City. The most populated city in Latin America, the most cosmopolitan and progressive city in Mexico. It is full of neighborhoods so gentrified that the middle class of the most expensive places in the world would balk at the prices and neighborhoods that make you feel like you are in a National Geographic expose of some of the worst conditions of the civilized world. And that's just scratching the surface.

Year 2015 brings so much change, so many buildings being finished, tourists seeing the traditional colonias along with the vibrant nightlife that throbs and pulses like blood through the veins of a party going teen. Yet there is more than this. Are those fangs in the dark corners? Is that a faerie or a werewolf basking in the light of the full moon? Do you answer the door when a demon might be going door to door searching for weak souls? When madness is contagious do you even glance at the people on the corner of the street? Is that wizard transcendent or petty? Why does that old lady keep giving you the evil side eye?

Welcome to Urban Shadows Mexico - Bruja and skeletons will abound and delight, the Factions are rabid and hibernating at the same time. Complacency has no place here, it is a Soho battleground of power and preternatural vendettas coming to the light of scrutiny. Mortals drown vampires in holy water, powermongers cut and nick districts into new tourist attractions, the parasites of desire exploit those in their web until they are dry husks, and demons exult in the failings of all types of faith.

Urban Shadows introduces new era power struggles where your rivals are not in it for an office, mortal accolades, or some paltry key to the city. This is a place where having the upper hand not only means life or death but it keeps you from something far, far worse. This is a spiral staircase where you decide if you climb up or delve deeper and deeper down until you get to places Dante feared to tread.

Welcome to the City. It is just like you imagined and much worse than you feared. Grab some fusion cuisine, check out a local band, and for the sake of whatever you pray to, don't go it alone. Good luck.
