Game Description

The Border Princes

It is the year 2507 on the Imperial Calendar.

There are many reasons to come to the Border Princes. Those cast out of the Empire find it easy to hide-- so too those bravos and mercenaries from Tilea and Estalia looking to make a bit of coin for themselves. Perhaps you're looking for something in particular? Vengeance on the greenskins which spill out of the Badlands? A family shame that can only be expunged in the blood of Beastmen?

I'm not here to judge. No one asks why you're in the Border Princes. They just ask what you want.

This is a land of dark secrets and strange cults, roaming monsters and cruel raiding warbands. It is also a land of opportunity-- magic, treasure, and power just waiting for someone with the will and wits to claim them.

Go on. What do you want?

__________________________________________________________________________________________ ______________

This will be a game set in the Border Princes region of the Warhammer Fantasy world, using the 5th Edition of D&D. I will be accepting no more than four players.

The major conceit of this campaign will be that PC's will be in command of their own warbands (and eventually armies). Intimate knowledge of the setting isn't required but some familiarity is a plus.

Variant and Homebrew Rules:

- Short Rests now last a day, Long Rests now last a week. This game will have a much larger 'scope' than a dungeondelving game, however, so this is not intended to handicap any particular class.
- This game will use the Spell Point variation from the Dungeon Master's Guide
- Magic causes Corruption; with some exception there is an inherent risk to casting. There are mechanisms to manage/reduce Corruption.
- Dragonborn and Tieflings are not allowed.
- Half-Orcs will be used to represent Orc PC's, but note that there is a massive racial stigma between Humans, Elves, Dwarves and the Greenskin races.
- Halflings will be used to represent Goblins. This means that Halflings and Goblins will be mechanically identical. As above, note that being a Greenskin in non-Greenskin lands is a dangerous proposition and very likely to have repercussion.
- All PC's will start with their own retinue; apprentices, guards, men-at-arms etc.

Applications

- Concept: (Name, background, class/race etc.)
- "What are you seeking in the Border Princes?"
- Short RP Sample
