Volume 1: Contingence
A month ago, your life changed. Before, maybe you were a big-shot CEO, a retired army officer, a part-time palettes instructor, a nurse, or a stay-at-home parent. Maybe you were living the dream. Maybe you were in your own version of hell. Everyone has problems, goals, debts, and nightmares. In that regard, you weren't any different from anybody else on the streets. And then the solar eclipse happened.
Now you have a power, an ability like something out of a comic book. You could view it as a gift, a curse, or even a call to destiny. Maybe its this crazy thing you can do is the answer to your prayers or is the flash flood that ruins your life. Either way, your not the type of person that just meekly accept it. You want answers. You want to know exactly what you can do and why.
Being an Evolved Human isn't easy. Not only do you need to learn how to control and master your power, but the world is full of dangers you couldn't have imagined before. Everything from other Evos with emerging powers to serial killers on the hunt for 'specials' to secret government groups looking for weapons. The world at large might be ignorant of your existence, but those who are aware are far from friendly.
One group in particular is out to get you. Simply called 'the Company', they are fully aware of the nature of Evos (or specials), and it is their mission to keep them secret from the rest of the world. By whatever means possible. With advanced tech, specials of their own, and answering to no greater power, they are a force to be reckoned with. And they're coming for you.
