A Night Below
"Hello friends!" begins the middle-aged, dark-haired, slightly portly man who introduced himself as Gordrenn. "I have a problem. I have a delivery to make to my friend Tauster in Thurmaster but my normal couriers are busy elsewhere. Nothing terribly expensive or important but Tauster doesn't like it when my deliveries to him are late. I hope that you can help me ... I pay well enough..."
Things start out simple enough for a group of adventurers looking to set out in the world and make a name for themselves. A simple delivery a couple weeks down the road for good pay ... but what lays in the shadows? What secrets does the area hold ... and when pulled in will the heroes be able to survive "a Night Below"?

Night Below is a massive campaign so please only serious applicants. This game will take some time from beginning to end.
For this game I am looking for 6-8 players depending on Apps, and characters at this time will be restricted to core (PHBI) races and classes. I know that many of you like Duskblades ;) but I don't have the PHBII and really prefer to keep this to books I have for the time being as this is admittedly my first time running a game by post (though not my first time running a game in general) ... and you're heroes, no evil please.
Rules will be 3.5, with some houserules added in (which can be discussed if you feel the need). As for posting rate, I tend to check the boards a few times a day (I have links to it on my phone) so am asking my players to have a posting rate of no less than once a day and if you should need to be away a couple days to do your best to let me know. I would also prefer players who have no experience with the game but won't decline an app just because you've played in this setting before.
While this campaign will have plenty of combat, there will be roleplay and character/story building. I'm not a fan of power gamers or metagaming.

At this time I am planning to accept applications for 2 weeks and for the last week of that I will be opening a forum for all to RP in, just an inn setting (and an idea I am stealing from another game that has open apps right now) where you can mingle.
