The lush imperial backwater world of Polariam Sen, only recently reclaimed after being separated for millenia from the Imperium of Man, has a grim time ahead of it.
In just a few local days, the chaos warband Prophets of Blood is arriving in the system, with its aim set on the planet. With just a small basic planetary defence force, as intel suggests, resistance will be abysmal. Soon the agri-world will be in the grasp of conquering heretics and daemon worshippers for their own nefarious reasons.

This is a Black Crusade campaign with semi-sandbox traits (depending on how the campaign and story progresses, as well as the players), featuring the themes of war, mystery, conquest, madness and potential horror (and perhaps others as things develop), through a filter of grimness that is w40k.
As is my preference when it comes to BC, this campaign will feature (hopefully) varied, deep and interesting, higher powered player characters, and potentially lethal challenges.
Do note that while I don't disallow any one kind of character concept (though I reserve the right to hit things with nerf bats and the like; also see houserules), be aware that some concepts/builds may have a harder time than others (i.e. one-trick social demagogues may find it challenging to incite an imperial force to turn on itself, and may have little to do in open combat... unless that's what you enjoy, you strange strange individual).
