A Gamble of Long Odds. It's what the old time gamblers called a patsy's bet. The kind of wager you make when you've got nothing left to lose and the deck is stacked against you. In the black, sometimes you've got to make a bet like that; keep workin', keep pushin', keep flyin'.
Never stop flyin'.
Oftentimes, folk'll take a gamble, even at long odds, to keep flyin' without looking at what price will come due. And there are all kinds of collectors in the 'Verse. Gangsters, pirates, Reavers, aristocrats, law men, "law men," fancy business men with very fine hats... hell, even God; they're all out there looking to take your cards, take your ante, and take your life. Even the most well-meanin', wholesome type might end up at odds with the collectors. And when chips are low and the cards fall where they may, those folk might even need to take a shot at those long odds.

A Gamble of Long Odds is the story of a group of people, pushed together by circumstance and forced to either overcome the odds together or die trying. Expect to come up against Gangsters and pirates, Law men of various moral standing, and maybe even Reavers.
But not all is as it seems and, in the end, you might have a clean slate, a bonded crew, and a nice bird to slide through the black. Always keep flyin'.
