A stalwart, experienced band of adventurers have just finished a long, wearying job for the First Lord of Malras, involving a vampire and his amateur necromancer minions. Now they're looking for a bit of rest and recreation, some time to wash the zombie filth off their clothes and spend some of their payment. So, they decide to head north-west, to the city-state of Abraxis. It's a borderland city, devoid of the power plays, backstabbing and intrigue that dominate the more populous and 'civilised' city-states.
