Game Description

Prologue
"Is he awake?"
There are muffled footsteps. A sound like something heavy dragged over steel.
"I can't tell..."
The voices seem to come from a million miles away.
A cold, small hand touches your face, jolting you back to... reality.
"He's burning... do..."
"He'll be fine. Look, he's coming round."
You force your eyes open and immediately wish you hadn't. Even parts of your body you didn't know could hurt do. You can barely see a young woman crouched near you, her expression one of concern. Nearby, a man seated on a crate bends low to stare at you.
"Hey there buddy," he says, his voice thick with an Irish accent. "Welcome aboard the Bensalem."
He pats you roughly on the back.
"Guy, you were lucky we found you. Hey look! Guess he hasn't found his sea legs yet..."
"Bannoc you ass, lay off...."
The words fade out again and you float back into the soft cocoon of sleep.

Premise:
Three days ago, the world had been a different, far simpler place. You knew things were different, it was like there was a thick fog that hung over the world, why couldn't everyone see the truth. Then you realised, you were being followed. Always at the corner of your eye, in the shadows, dark figures flitted. It happened just long enough for you to become complacent. One night when you were walking home, something big and violent and altogether not really human jumped you, and the world went black. When you woke up, you found yourself aboard an all but abandoned cargo ship in the Boston Harbor.

Welcome to the awakened world.
