The Savage Tide

As you open a window to to take a breath of the night air, a sharp rap echoes off of your chamber's door. You walk over and answer the call. Outside, a wizened-looking old halfling woman is standing with her arm outstreched toward you. In her wrinkled hand is a letter. Without a word she forces the sealed piece of parchment into your grasp, turns, and walks away. You gaze after her for a moment, then return to your room and unseal the letter. It reads:

Greetings, and I trust this missive finds you in good health!
My name is Lavinia Vanderboren, and I humbly request your attendance at dinner at my estate on Festival street and Blue Skink Lane tomorrow evening. I think I can present you an opportunity uniquely suited to your skills.

You look up from your letter as a cool salt breeze from Sasserine's northern shore washes into your room from the open window. As the cold sends a shiver up your spine, you realize this is no ordinary wind. This is the wind of change.
