General Announcement
Hello everyone! Welcome to the 1st Zanicus Gladiatorial Games! This will not be the typical adventure/dungeon delve you are used to! Oh, no it won't! Instead, your character will face the ravages of hell itself, in the Pits of Vrixa, to keep his or her life! Those rare gladiators that survive, come to be known as legends of folklore; their names on the tip of every aspiring young one's tongue. Will you survive the gauntlet of death?!?
Rules & Acceptance
Develop a simple character at level 1 using the 22 point-buy method.
You may use only the following books or references : PHB1, PHB2, PHB3 (I am allowing certain monster races from the MM on a case-by-case basis)
- No Martial, Divine, Primal or Arcane supplements
- No DnDI extras (such as background or birth bonuses, etc)
- No Dungeon/Dragon magazine supplements
You will be rewarded experience, items and money at an
accelerated rate, should you survive past your first fight. You will also earn a new type of reward called
Crowd Points. Win the appreciation and love of the audience to get your Crowd Points high enough, and you will gain extra feats, skills, items and more! Always remember, the crowd is fickle and wants blood and it just might be yours!
The total number of rounds will be determined by the number of applicants. Be prepared for near constant battle, as your life hangs in the balance! The format will also change throughout the competition; you may fight with allies, you may fight monsters that have been captured in the realms and possibly you may fight no-holds-barred with a plethora of attackers. Be warned, you will not have an easy fate in the arena.
I do not need nor want background information, as
no one cares who you are worm! You are no one! Just a piece of meat for the enjoyment of others!! Got that!?
I am accepting up to
28 characters for the competition! Generally, you must be able to post at least once per day. This will be single elimination... because if you are eliminated, YOU'RE DEAD!
Only one winner will emerge as the supreme tactician of blood and will have the chance to battle the Legendary Gladiator Bors MacGrubertson, who has remained undefeated for countless years. Lose, and you will just be one more blood stain in the dirt... but win, and you just might become the hero of children's dreams!
