Game Description

The first savage tide has already touched the mortal world, yet none who live today recall this time of red ruin. Unleashed from the cruel heart of a fell seed known as a shadow pearl, this savage tide swept over an ancient city perched atop the crown of a remote island. The tide transformed beggar an noble, merchant and thief, resident and visitor into feral, ravenous fiends. The fruits of centuries of labour came crumbling down in a matter of days, and when the survivors tried to stem the tide by destroying the pearl, the resulting blast of power sunk their city into a boiling lake of death. Through it all, the Abyssal architect of the savage tidewatched, taking pride in the ruin. When the tide's final ripples had faded, what was left became known as the Isle of Dread.
Now, after a thousand years, the true masters of the Isle of Dread look upon new targets, new cities beyond the horizon, compelled by the hateful will of their demonic lord Demogorgon to prepare for the coming glory. This time, the doom will not be limited to one hapless city. This time, all of civilization waits unknowingly on the shore, blissfully ignorant of what the incoming tide brings in.

A classic. One of my personal favorites too. When Dungeon magazine starting releasing the campaign converted to 3.5 I dove on it. Spent a whole year eye-humping shop's mag racks for the next installment to come out. My RL game lasted even longer, all of us excited to explore this dangerous, dino infested island, and finally confront the demon that had caused us so much grief. Unfortunately the game never finished, around 3/4ths the way through I joined the army and moved away to train.

Anyway, despite the hectic schedule I really want to run a game again. If you would like to play I want you to know right now that I'll have a steady period of regular posting, then every couple of months I'll bugger off for a few weeks. Also, with a wife and 3 munchkins, my days are pretty busy. However, outside of work I'm a hermit and should be able to post about once a day.

Alright, here's the skinny:
Looking for a max of 6 players. Concepts not required yet because I'd like the group to talk amongst themselves about who they'll be playing. I'm impatient so recruiting should be fairly speedy provided I have your interest.
Books in play will be Player's, Complete advenurer, Complete arcane, Noble's handbook, and Cavalier's handbook. This is all I have so kinda sucks to be you if you want to be some crazy ultra clockwork dragon riding, priestly warrior thief warlock with a lute.
Not allowing non-standard PC races. Sorry, ya get what's in the Player's.
Stats, other character generating junk will be explained once you've be invited to the game. I'm doing this because you'll all be starting as a newly formed adventurer band so you'll have a chance to base your character around the others and come up with a backstory to why you decided to join together. This'll also give the more organized players a chance to decide a leader, and/or the band's contract regarding treasure sharing, band names, logos and upon death circumstances. If you're so inclined to do that.

Anything I've missed, or any questions you'd like to ask, feel free. Also, I am flexible, so if you have a class that you'd like to play that I don't have the book for, ask and I'll look for it and give you the yay or nay.
